Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services Limited (Mahindra Finance) has appointed Atul Joshi as Vice President – HR & Admin.
He will report to Mr. Ramesh Iyer, VC & MD, Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services Limited.
Joshi moves to Mahindra Finance from M&M Ltd. where he served as Head HR for the Automotive Sector.
Joshi was instrumental in developing the HR Strategy roadmap and driving various strategic HR initiatives like Organization Restructuring, Strategic Hiring, establishment of new business, Leadership Development and Organization Simplicity.
He is a Line Manager turned HR professional with a total experience of over 28 years.
After completing his MMS (Operations) from Mumbai University, Joshi began his career with Kansai Paints (formerly Goodlass Nerolac Paints) as an In-charge of Production Planning & Materials Management.
After joining M&M in 1993, he spent his initial years handling various assignments related to BPR before he became part of the M&M – McKinsey team that worked on Strategy Development & Implementation and Change Management at Mahindra Farm Equipment Sector. He made a conscious career shift to HR in 2002. Since then, Atul has headed the HR function for diverse businesses at Mahindra like Tractors, Automobiles (UVs), Trucks & Bus, Construction Equipment, Powerol, Mahindra Electric and Agriculture Sector.
For three years Atul was posted in Mahindra Research Valley (MRV) at Chennai to head the HR and Administration function, where he was instrumental in contributing towards successfully establishing the MRV and related infrastructure facilities.
Joshi is a certified Coach and takes keen interest in enabling people to realize their potential. He takes over from Mr. Vinay Deshpande following his retirement as Chief People Officer, Mahindra Finance.
